Learning Journey Day 5

Today tasks were easy but you had to type a lot. Task 1 was to pretend you are in a forest by yourself in the night and create a story with at least 8 to 10 sentences. I made my one a bit spooky well I tried to make it a bit spooky. Task 2 was to pick any famous New Zealander and make a DLO about that New Zealander. I chose Stan Walker. This task had a lot of typing. Here's a fun fact Stan Walkers album "Black Box" was the highest selling single in New Zealand in 2010 and won a New Zealand Music Award. Today's bonus activity was to write a lot of reason why you would go on the Otago Rail Trail. Today the bonus activity was worth 10 points and the tasks were fairly easy today so hopefully I get full points.

Learning Journey Day 4

Learning Journey Day 4 Swimming with the sharks

Today we are still focusing in New Zealand but this time we are in the South Island. The activities are still pretty challenging for me and for other people. The first task was to read about the farewell spit and how all of the whales got there and to write what they did to try and save them. The second task was to watch the Whale Rider movie trailers and rate them out of 5 but the videos did not work so we couldn't do it. For the bonus activity we had to give reason why people shouldn't fish for Hector's Dolphin.

The Learning Journey 2

For the learning journey today we focused on Rangitoto island, Karekare beach and Tane Mahuta. The other task was to write 5 question on what you would ask to Laura Dekker. For the bonus activity we had to interview a friend. 

Task 1 was to learn more about Rangitoto island, Karekare beach and Tane Mahuta and pick which one is the best and why. I have chosen Tane Mahuta.

For this week, we started to do calendar art. first, we had to choose between 3 different types of art: happy hearts, skyline/city scape, and a decorative koru. I chose the koru. First, we made drafts and practices. Next, we started to make our real ones on a special calendar paper. After that, we coloured in our drawings. Here is my calendar art with no vivid and with vivid.

My Personal Logo Design

For the past couple of weeks room 6,7 and 8 have been make personal logo design. The first step for this was to plan in our project books. My plan had about ten ideas. The next step was to make 6 logos and pick 3 of them. Then you had to pick one I picked 1 that had a YouTube logo and I changed the words to Evan Tube because my name is Evan. I made it simple because the simpler the logo is the better it is because if it has a lot of thing in you picture you will not be able to see anything.
