The Treaty Of Waitangi
The treaty of waitangi was signed on the 6th of February 1840. The Maori and British signed the treaty of Waitangi to share the land of harmony. The treaty of Waitangi was signed in the bay of islands. There are 2 versions of the treaty of Waitangi A Maori version and an English version. Waitangi Day has been celebrated since 1974. The treaty of Waitangi had a misunderstanding leading to conflict between the two countries. We started learning about Waitangi on Tuesday but I already knew a lot about Waitangi. On Waitangi Day a lot of people have hangi for dinner but I'm my family we just have roast which is still good though. How do you celebrate Waitangi Day?
